The recently formed Queensland Trombone Quartet is made up of members from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Recognised musicians on the Queensland music scene, they have performed with Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Opera Queensland, Queensland Ballet, Opera Australia, Queensland Pops Orchestra and Camerata of St John’s. They also regularly perform in musical theatre productions with Harvest Rain, Queensland Music Theatre, Ignatians Musical Society and participate in local ensembles Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra, Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra and Queensland Wind Orchestra. 

Most recently they performed as part of Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) 30th Birthday celebrations and travelled to Hong Kong to participate in SliderAsia along with Queensland Symphony Orchestra Principal trombone, Jason Redman. 
Queensland Trombone Quartet is available for hire for a range of events including corporate functions and workshop tutoring, with a wide repertoire to suit any occasion.

Queensland Trombone Quartet w/ James Whiting Quartet

Brisbane Jazz Club, 1 Annie St, Kangaroo Point

Aussie expat, James Whiting is an internationally recognized drummer and percussionist, and was recently awarded Best Jazz Album at the Akademia Music Awards for his last release, Hard Mince. On tour from Las Vegas, James will be performing a variety of jazz, rock, and Latin alongside a smokin’ band with Andrew Hobler – guitar, Dave Spicer – piano and Peter Walters – bass, with special guests The Queensland Trombone Quartet.
